The Man Cave

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Welcome to the Man Cave. Kick open the door and sling a chair across the room while you wrestle an alligator before we hammer nails into cement with our fists.

I expect this page to be the least visited one on our site. Why? Because that’s what guys do – Disengage. We can do it all by ourselves, right? If we can’t fix it, then it can’t be fixed.

We can be tough. God tells us in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 to be tough by being Watchful – Standing Firm – Acting Like Men – Oh yeah, I’m digging where this is going.

Now here’s the kicker, lumberjacks, He says, “Let all that you do be done in love.”

We’re going to try keeping the women out of here, but we’re also going to encourage them to get you involved.

If it makes you feel any better about connecting with me and the other Brothers in Christ (true manly men), I just retired as a Chief of Police after 26 years in law enforcement. During those years I worked 12 years undercover narcotics and violent crimes task forces, along with 16 years as a SWAT operator and commander. I also smashed it as a 260 pound powerlifter and a 180 pound athlete and endurance cyclist. But, the toughest thing about me is how tender my heart is for Christ.

Welcome to the Man Cave, and we look forward to chewing through steel beams together – Click Here to connect and Stay in Touch.

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

iron sharpens

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. – Ezekiel 22:30

Men of God, where are you? Today’s culture of absent fathers isn’t a new family dynamic. Men have been failing their families, their communities and their Creator for centuries. isn’t it time we stop?

Stand in the gap – Stand together with other Christian men – Stand strong – Just stand

Men – The movie “Courageous” soon became one of my favorites. Not only was it based on law enforcement officers, but celebrated men and their place in God’s kingdom. God wants men to return to their rightful place as heads of households and leaders in our communities.

Are you courageous?

“Be strong and very courageous…” Joshua 1:7

Courageous

We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous

We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we’re watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away

Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord

We were made to be courageous
And we’re taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we’ll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

This is our resolution
Our answer to the call
We will love our wives and children
We refuse to let them fall

We will reignite the passion
That we buried deep inside
May the watchers become warriors
Let the men of God arise

We were made to be courageous
And we’re taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we’ll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Seek justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly with your God

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

We were made to be courageous
And we’re taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we’ll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

We were made to be courageous
Lord, make us courageous
